Odisha Banishree Scholarship 2024
The Government of Odisha has launched the Banishree Scholarship Scheme which aims to provide financial assistance to students with special needs. The scholarship is administered by the Department of Social Security and Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities, Government of Odisha. This Scholarship 2024 is open only for physically challenged students. Students studying in primary, secondary and high schools as well as students enrolled in technical / vocational / vocational training courses can apply for Banishree scholarship.

Eligibility Criteria for Banishree Scholarship
- Applicant must be citizen of Odisha state.
- Applicant’s gross annual family income should not exceed Rs.60,000.
- An applicant must be a regular student of the educational school/institute.
- If the applicant is receiving any other scholarship or financial allowance under any scheme from the State / Central Government, they are not eligible.
Banishree Scholarship Application Process
To apply for the Banishree scholarship online, candidates can follow the steps outlined below.
- Visit the Banishree official website.
- Select Banishree Scholarship under ‘Beneficiary Services’.
- Choose ‘New Application’ and click on the Proceed button.
- Enter student details:- such as Name, Aadhaar Number, Date of Birth, Social Category, Nature of Disability and UDID Certificate Number etc. to fill the application form.
- Select Nature of Scholarship:- Fresh/Renewal.
- Provide institute details:- such as currently studying (inside/outside), institute name, district, sub-division, block, GP, village and pin etc.
- Provide other information:- such as parent’s name, relationship, mobile number, class type, admission date, income, etc.
- Upload supporting documents:- such as mark sheet and cast certificate etc.
- Provide bank account details and upload passbook.
- Cross check all information you provided then click on “Submit” button.

- First go to https://ssepd.odisha.gov.in link.
- Select “Banishree Scholarship” on the homepage.
- Then select “Recommended Application from Principal/Head of the Institution” then click on “Proceed” button.
- Enter the application number and click on submit button.
- Then verify Aadhaar.
- If there is any wrong information in the application form, correct and update it, otherwise scroll down.
- Upload the supporting documents.
- Finally, click on the “Update Details & Submit” button.
