Eklavya Scholarship, a initiative of Directorate of Higher Education (DHE), Government of Maharashtra that offers financial aid to students studying Science, Law, Commerce and Arts Stream. The Scholarship is open to students who are residents of Maharashtra and have been enrolled in a postgraduate degree program. Candidates will be selected on the basis of merit and they are eligible to receive one-time financial grant of Rs 5,000 which will help them to continue the post-graduation degrees they have chosen.
Eklavya Scholarship 2024-25
Maharashtra Eklavya Scholarship is a state level initiative, launched under the Directorate of Higher Education (DHE), Government of Maharashtra. The major purpose of the scholarship program is to motivate students to pursue postgraduate degree courses. Most of the students belong to middle class family who cannot continue their education due to difficult family situation and the scholarship plays an important role in helping them to overcome financial barriers and achieve their academic goals. Students who meet the eligibility requirements, which we will discus shortly, can apply for Eklavya Scholarship by visiting the official website. The application process is currently open and will continue until March 31, 2025.

Eligibility for the Eklavya Scholarship
- Students must be a permanent citizen of the state of Maharashtra.
- Students of law, commerce, and arts, should have secured at least 60% marks.
- Science Students must have secured at least 70% marks.
- Neither full-time nor part-time employee are eligible.
- To be eligible for the grant, students must be studying within the state; students taking their courses outside the state, are not eligible.
- The annual family income of the applicants should not be more than INR 75,000.
How to Register
- Step 1: First of all, go to Maha DBT portal and select ‘Post Matric Scholarship’.
- Step 2: Then click on “New Applicant Registration” and a registration form will appear.
- Step 3: Complete the registration procedure by entering all the required data.
- Step 4: Enter applicant’s name, Username and set a fresh password.
- Step 5: Type your mobile number and email ID, then verify the OTP.
- Step 6: Enter the captcha code that appears and click on the “Register” button.

Application Process for Eklavya Scholarship
- First, visit https://mahadbt.maharashtra.gov.in and click on ‘Post Matric Scholarship’.
- Click on “Applicant Login”; then enter user name, and password, fill in the captcha code then click on button labeled as “Login Here.”
- Once successfully login to dashboard, click on the “Profile” from the left-hand side.
- Provide personal information like Aadhaar number, family annual income, domicile certificate number, date of issue, then upload income and domicile certificate.
- Provide address information like current address, district, pin code, taluk, etc.
- Provide the details of the parent/guardian like father’s/mother’s name, their occupation, etc. then save.
- Enter Current and Previous Course Details, Admission Year, Qualification Level, Course Name, Year of Study, Stream, College/School Name, etc.
- Click on Hostel Details then select Beneficiary Category (Hosteller/Day Scholar) and click on Save button.
- Navigate to “All Schemes” section, then select the Department (Directorate of Higher Education) and Scheme Name (Eklavya Scholarship), then click on the Apply button.
- Select Renewal/Fresh Application, enter application number, then upload Living Certificate, Declaration Certificate, Caste Certificate and Ration Card, click on Save button.
- Cross check all the information and click the button labeled Submit.
Renewal Process
Students wishing to apply for the renewal scholarship must meet these eligibility requirements.
- It is required to secure a score of at least 50% in the past year or semester during the first year.
- An applicant who fails or receives an ATKT will not be permitted to reapply.
- Applicants must maintain attendance of 75%.
Amount
The amount distributed under the Eklavya scholarship scheme is Rs.5,00 (one time).
