Prize Money Scholarship 2024 is a state-sponsored scholarship launched by the Government of Karnataka under the Department of Social Welfare, which aims to provide financial assistance to deserving students. Students who are residents of Karnataka and belong to SC/ST category and are pursuing 2nd PUC, Diploma, Undergraduate (Degree) and Postgraduate courses are eligible for the scholarship. There are also several other eligibility criteria that we have discussed below. Prize Money Scholarship 2024

Scholarship is made available to students to continue their study. The main intension of giving scholarship is not to stop dreaming of study. The students who are poor or do not have money to continue their study here is Good News to all SC (Scheduled caste) and ST (Scheduled Tribe) students of Karnataka State. The government of Karnataka introduced a scholarship called “PRIZE MONEY SCHOLARSHIP” under Social Welfare Department to all SC and ST students of Karnataka. This Scholarship is available to 2nd PUC, Diploma, Graduation (degree), and Post-graduation. Students who wish to apply for this scholarship can visit the official website and apply. Eligibility Criteria for Prize Money Scholarship 2024

Prize Money Scholarship is an opportunity to students from SC/ST category who is permanent resident of Karnataka State. The Prize money scholarship helps and encourages the students who pursue education. It provides financial assistance and students can focus on their studies even better. The eligibility criteria set by the government of Karnataka. Following are the criteria’s the student has to meet.

• Only SC/ST students can apply.
• Applicant must be a permanent citizen of Karnataka.
• Minority girl student gets 30% reservation.
• No Age Limitation.
• No Income Limitation
• Must be enrolled in a government-recognized institution.
• Students must score first division in previous year’s examination.
• Students who have recently completed Agriculture, Engineering, Veterinary, Medicine, Post-Graduation, Diploma, Graduation or PUC, are eligible to apply.

Documents Required for Prize Money Scholarship

Students must have following documents with them before applying scholarship.

• Valid mobile number for registration (must available in future)
• Passport size photo
• Aadhaar Card

• SSLC/PUC/Degree/Post marks sheet

• Income certificate

SCHOLARSHIP AMOUNT

The scholarship amount is fixed by the government of Karnataka based on the courses. This scholarship is available to all SC/ST students who are studying in PUC, Diploma, Degree or master’s degree. The following are the scholarship amount details available to different courses.

How to Apply for Prize Money Scholarship 2024?

The students who wish to apply for this Prize money scholarship can easily apply online through the following steps.

• Step 1: Visit the official website of SOCIAL WELFARE DEPARTMENT, Karnataka.- Click here.
• Step 2: Click on the scholarship link for online application for 2024.
• Step 3: The application form opens in new window.
• Step 4: Enter SSLC Board type, SSLC passed year, SSLC Reg. Number, caste, Student name as per Aadhaar card.
• Step 5: Upload scanned documents.
• Step 6: Click on button labeled SUBMIT.
• Step 7: Take the print out of application form for future reference.

Note: After submitting print out the application and attach required documents (mentioned below) and send it to the Social Welfare Department of the District Office.

The submission of online application for post-graduation students is available till 10-03-2024. The students who are studying in Post-graduation can apply for this scholarship till 10-03-2024.

Process to Check Prize Money Scholarship Application Status

Students who have already applied for Prize money scholarship can check the status of their application.

• Step 2: Click on the Application Status link.
• Step 3: The application status window opens in new tab.
• Step 4: Click on Applicant No.wise/College wise option.
• Step 5: Enter Applicant No. in box.
• Step 6: Click on View button.

Steps to Edit Prize Money Scholarship Application

The students can edit their online applications through official website. Once correction done they can save and upload the application.

• Step 1: Visit the official website https://swdservices.karnataka.gov.in/swprizemoney.
• Step 2: Click on the Edit Application link.
• Step 3: Login for Edit application window opens in new tab.
• Step 4: Enter the required details like, Course completion year, Registration number, Date of Birth, College Type etc.
• Step 5: Edit where you want to make changes.
• Step 6: Click on Submit button.

MARKS DEFINED BY KARNATAKA PRIZE MONEY SCHOLARSHIP

Overall Grade Point Average (OGPA) or Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) is used to define the marks. The prize money scholarship is determined by these methods. The District Social Welfare Department Officers in consultation with the Vice-Chancellor, Registrar or Principal of the University/College takes decision in validating marks. The decision of the committee is final and the concerned authority will approve or reject the applications.
