Aikyashree Scholarship 2024-25
Aikyashree Scholarship has been initiated by West Bengal Minorities Development and Finance Corporation (WBMDFC) to meet the financial needs of the students. The goal of the scholarship is to provide assistance to economically disadvantaged students. Under this scheme, students belonging to minority communities like Muslims, Christians, Sikhs, Buddhists, Parsis and Jains get financial assistance. The amount of the scholarship depends on which course / class the students are currently studying. The maximum grant under this scheme is up to ₹33,000.
A scholarship portal has been launched for minority students of West Bengal where they can apply for scholarships online as well as check the application status on this portal. The online application for the scholarship is currently underway.

Type of Aikyashree Scholarship
Aikyashree scholarship is provided to students for studying from class 1 to PhD. The scholarships that students are offered based on the course are as follows:
- Pre-Matric Scholarship (for student of class I to X)
- Post-Matric Scholarship (for students of class XI to Ph.D)
- Merit Cum Means Scholarship (Technical/Professional Course at UG and post-graduation levels)
- Under Talent Support Program (class XI to Ph.D other than Technical/Professional Course)
- Swami Vivekananda Merit Cum Means Scholarship for Minorities (class XI to PG level)
Eligibility for Aikyashree Scholarship 2024
To get the benefits of Aikyashree scholarship, applicants must meet the eligibility criteria mentioned below.
Eligibility Criteria for Pre-Matric Scholarship
- Applicants must be permanent citizens of West Bengal and belong to minority community.
- Students must be enrolled in grades 1st to 10th.
- Applicants must have scored at least 50% marks in the previous class final examination.
- The student’s family income must be ₹2 LPA or less.
- Students must have a Bangla Shikhsha ID.
Eligibility Criteria for Post-Matric Scholarship
- Applicants must be permanent citizens of West Bengal and belong to minority community.
- The scholarship is for those who are a student from XI to Ph.D.
- Applicant must have scored at least 50% marks in the last exam.
- Family income of the applicant should be ₹2 LPA/less.
Eligibility Criteria for MCM Scholarship
- Applicant must be resident of West Bengal also belong to minority community.
- Students must be enrolled in a technical/professional course.
- Applicant must have secured at least 50% marks in Higher Secondary (Class 12)/Graduate Examination.
- Student’s family income should not exceed ₹2.5 LPA.
- Those who are residing in West Bengal but pursuing technical / professional courses in institutions outside the state are not eligible to apply (except listed institutes).
Eligibility Criteria for Talent Support Program
- Students must have passed last examination with less than 50% marks.
- Household income should be not more than ₹2 LPA.
Eligibility Criteria for SVMCM
- The applicant must be a minority student residing in West Bengal.
- This scholarship is given to students from class XI to post-graduation level including Diploma (Polytechnic), Diploma in Pharmacy, BEd, DLED.
- Family Income must be less than ₹2.5 LPA.
- The eligibility marks for svmcm scholarship are: 60% for higher secondary, 53% for postgraduate level and 55% for technical courses.

How to apply Aikyashree Scholarship 2024?
Applications have been opened for Aikyashree Scholarship for the session 2024-25. Students can apply for this scholarship only through online mode. Follow the steps below to fill out the fresh application form.
- First of all, go to the official portal of Aikyashree Scholarship.
- Then select ‘Student Area’.
- Now click on ‘Fresh Registration 2024-25’.
- Then select your institute district.
- Enter student information such as name, date of birth, mobile number, and bank details.
- Under the scheme eligibility, provide the institution details such as institute location, current class / course, last exam passed.
- After successful registration, log in with your user ID and password.
- Enter basic details such as current address, other details such as Banglar Shiksha portal ID, Aadhaar number.
- Enter the academic information such as name of the institution, name of the board, duration of the course then click on Save and Proceed.
- Provide bank accounts information.
- Cross check the information then click on Verify and Lock Application.
Note: After completing the application, take a printout of it and attach the required documents and then submit it to your institute.

For the students who have applied for Aikyashree Scholarship for the session 2024-25, the authorities have started verifying their applications. If you have recently applied for a scholarship, follow the procedure below to check the status of your application
- To get started go to the Aikyashree portal: https://wbmdfcscholarship.in.
- Then tap on the ‘Students’ section.
- Now select ‘Track Application’.
- After this, select the district of your institute and press’ OK ‘.
- Here Choose year of registration, and district then enter the application user ID, date of birth.
- Type in the captcha code that appears, then tap on ‘Submit’.
- On the next page, all the details regarding your application status will be displayed on your screen.
