E District scholarship is introduced by central government of India, to support financially feeble students. The main objective of this scholarship scheme is to provide financial aid to economically backward communities to continue their higher studies. Students from Delhi and Tamil Nadu (TN) get the benefit of this scholarship scheme. The government has announced to provide 100% tuition fee reimbursement to students whose academic performance is excellent. In short, students with meritorious records shall receive this scholarship.

E District Scholarship 2024

E District Scholarship scheme enhances the interest of the students towards studies. Students belonging to the reserved category will be able to pursue IIT or IIM courses from a recognized university/institute. The scholarship amount will be transferred directly to the bank account of the applicant through DBT (Direct Benefit Transfer) mode. Students need to apply for the E-District Scholarship 2024 online mode. Students belonging to SC, ST, OBC, and EWS categories can apply for E District Scholarship.

Eligibility Criteria for E-DISTRICT Scholarship 2024

The students must meet the following criteria’s to receive scholarship.

• Applicant must be a citizen of India.
• The applicant must be a permanent resident of Delhi and Tamil Nadu.
• The applicant must belong to the Backward Classes (SC, ST, OBC, and EWS).
• The annual family income of the applicant should not be more than Rs. 2.5 lakh per annum.
• Students must maintain 70% attendance.
• Students must perform well in the field of education.

How to Apply for Tamilnadu E-District Scholarship?

Follow the below steps for applying E-District Tamilnadu scholarship.

• Step 1: Visit official website National Scholarship Portal (NSP).
• Step 2: Click on “New Registration” button from applicant corner.
• Step 3: Click on check box agreeing Terms & conditions mentioned.
• Step 4: Click on “Continue” tab.
• Step 5: A registration form opens here, enter required details (State, Scholarship category, Scheme type, Student Name, Gender, Mobile number, Email ID, bank IFSC code, Bank Account details, and Identification details, and upload all mandatory documents.
• Step 6: Candidates will receive OTP after completing an application form.
• Step 7: SUBMIT the application to finish registration process.

Selection Process for E-District Scholarship

• Students must meet the eligibility criteria mentioned above.
• Applicants must submit their application before the deadline allotted.
• It is necessary for everyone to pass the verification and screening process.
• Students are shortlisted based on their academic performance, extracurricular activities, and other factors based on scholarship requirements.
• The selection committee selects the final list of candidates using predetermined criteria.
• Once the selection process is completed, the scholarship amount will be transferred to the bank account of the shortlisted candidates.

E-District Scholarship Amount and Benefits

Scholars selected under the E District Scholarship will receive a 100% fee reimbursement (non-refundable). Also, additional financial assistance shall be granted to the selected students. Read the table below to know more about the benefits of the scholarship.

• Caste certificate
• Fee Receipt
• Student’s Aadhaar card
• Resident Proof such as Ration card/Voter Id/PAN card etc
• Mark Sheet
• Parent/Guardian’s income certificate
• Income declaration (for parents/guardian’s who is self employed – Should be in an affidavit with non-judicial stamp)
• Bank Passbook (First page of passbook)
