Karnataka Labour Welfare Board has recently invited online applications for the Labour Card Scholarship for the academic year 2024-25 and Labour card scholarship last date to apply is January 31, 2025. To apply for the scholarship, eligible applicants may visit the KLWB or KBOCWWB portals. The portal will remain open for online application until 31st January 2025.
Labour Card Scholarship 2024
The online application for the Labour Card Scholarship has already started, and a notification of which has also been issued. It is a state-level initiative that provides financial help to students studying in classes 1st to 10th, 1st/2nd PUC, as well as degree, diploma, and professional courses. Under this scholarship, eligible students are given from Rs 1,100 to a maximum of Rs 11,000 for education expenses. The Labour Card Scholarship is only for those students who are permanent residents of Karnataka State and whose parents are registered construction workers.

Eligibility Criteria for Labour Card Scholarship 2024
- To be eligible for the scholarship, the student’s parent’s labour card must be registered with the Karnataka Labour Welfare Board.
- General and SC / ST category applicants must have passed the previous examination with 50% and 45% respectively.
- The monthly income of the parents should be less than Rs 35,000.
- If the applicant’s parents contribute to the Karnataka Welfare Fund, they are also eligible to apply.
- Applicants must be enrolled in regular courses, any other courses such as Home Study Courses or online Courses aren’t eligible.
How to apply for the Labour Card Scholarship 2024?
To apply for the Labour Card scholarship, students had to visit the Karnataka Labour Welfare Board (KLWB) website and the Seva Sindhu portal earlier. However, due to recent changes, the online application process has completely changed. For that reason, we are going to guide you through the step-by-step process on how to apply for Labour Card scholarship.
- Applicants first visit https://kbocwwb.karnataka.gov.in portal.
- Now select Karnataka Building & Other Construction Workers Welfare Board (KBOCWWB) option.
- Then tap on “Register as Construction Worker / Login’.
- Go to “Register” tab, enter Registration & Reference Number, and tap ‘Verify’.
- Once successfully registered, login using your credentials.
- On the dashboard, select ‘New Registration’.
- Enter your mobile number and choose ‘Generate OTP’, and verify it.
- Next complete your E-kYC by entering your Aadhar details.
- Enter Basic details such as Martial status, Date of Birth, Category, PAN Card Number.
- Provide your Permanent & Residential address then tap on ‘Next’.
- Enter Ration Card details such as RC number, type.
- Provide 90 days working certificate & Employee details.
- Cross verify the information then tap on ‘Final Submit’ button.
Note: After successfully submitting the application form, print your acknowledgement and e-card.

Process to Check Labour Card Scholarship Status
Once the application process is complete, the next step for you is to check its status. This way you can confirm the status of your application as well as payment status. To check the Labour Card Scholarship status kindly follow the steps as mentioned below.
- Kindly visit KBOCWWB portal.
- Then choose first option (KBOCWWB).
- Now tap on ‘Click here to view Education Assistance Status’.
- Under Education Assistance Status tab enter Reference Number.
- After that hit on ‘Check’ button.
- On the next page, you can able to check your application status.
